Augustine Kofie's work is a polymorphous, constantly evolving action. Transforming according to the surface, medium and ever changing moods of this self taught 30 something born and raised in the city of Los Angeles. He has showcased both murals and artworks in Vancouver, Tokyo, Marrakech, Paris & Berlin as well as across the States, showcasing his unique style & drafting like imagination. Using mechanical like line-works, a heavy earth-tone pallet & sure-handed organic fragmentary structures, Augustine creates a layered, architecturally inspired world outside of reality. Circular forms stretch, expand & disparate elements exist in an obscurely perfect harmony on tilt. Kofie seamlessly manages to bridge the feel of the 1960's abstract expressionist in style & application techniques with works that is as much unintentional mastery as it is intentional order.
